Retracing Jack Kerouac

After finishing watching Antonelli’s film Kerouac: The Movie (1985) I decided to post a photo of the Tosca, although I don’t know if Kerouac had a connection with it at all, or if it already existed at the time he hung out in San Francisco. In any case it’s located directly opposite the Cafe Vesuvio and The City Lights Book Store, both establishments well-known to Kerouac. And it’s a very nice looking building.

It’s also the last photo (at least for the moment) I will be posting from last year’s trip taken in San Francsico, as the next one will be one taken on the way to Oakland/Emeryville train station for the California Zephyr which took me to my next destination of my ‘Retracing Jack Kerouac’ project, Denver
